Pastille, 2016

Using a recurring motif with subtle variations in a way that evokes the building block of the printed image. These become components for the artworks own existence. Cells of information are juxtaposed in new combinations within the field - in which all elements find their relative spatial relation.

From the monumental images of humans blasted onto surfaces after the atom bomb in Hiroshima to the forensic use of micro traces of human fingerprints and DNA, the presence of humanity and its actions are recorded throughout society.
